Meghadūta 2.99

अङ्गेनाङ्गं प्रतनु तनुना गाढतप्तेन तप्तम
सास्रेणास्रद्रवमविरतोत्कण्ठमुत्कण्ठितेन ।
उष्णोच्छ्वासं समधिकतरोच्छ्वासिना दूरवर्ती
संकल्पैस्ते विशति विधिना वैरिना रुद्धमार्गः ॥

mandākrāntā

“Body with body,
emaciated, thin,
constantly suffering, suffering,
tearful, running with tears,
ceaselessly longing, longed for,
your hot sighs, his sighs uninterrupted:
from afar he joins you in his imagination,
his path blocked by his enemy, fate.”
