Śārṅgadharapaddhati 3404

प्रयातेऽस्तं भानौ श्रितशकुनिनीडेषु तरुषु
स्फुरत्संध्यारागे शशिनि शनकैरुल्लसति च ।
प्रियप्रत्याख्यानद्विगुणविरहोत्कण्ठितदृशा
तदारब्धं तन्व्या मरणमपि यत्रोत्सवपदम् ।। (भल्लटस्य)

as the sun sets, and birds
come back to their nests,
twilight throbs, and the
moon shines, slowly, shyly--
then the young girl stares out,
arches her neck twice as high
longing for her lover's return,
and starts to think that
death might be
felicitous word
after all.
