Karuṇavilāsa 17

स्वप्नान्तरेऽपि खलु भामिनि पत्युरन्यं
या दृष्टवत्यसि न कंचन साभिलाषम् ।
सा सम्प्रति प्रचलितासि गुणैर्विहीनं
प्राप्तुं कथं कथय हन्त परं पुमांसम् ॥

“You would never have looked longingly
at any man besides your husband
even in a dream. That’s for sure.
So tell me, please, how
you suddenly ran off for another man.
You can’t possibly see anything in him.”
