माण-दुम-परुस-पवणस्स मामि सव्वंग-णिव्वुइअरस्स ।
अवऊहणस्स भद्दं रइ-णाडअ-पुव्वरंगस्स ॥

मान-द्रुम-परुष-पवनस्य सखि सर्वाङ्ग-निर्वृतिकरस्य ।
अवगूहनस्य भद्रं रति-नाटक-पूर्वरङ्गस्य ॥ 

“A fierce gust to the tree of anger, friend,
and the cause of total happiness:
thank god for the embrace,
the prelude to the play of love.”
